Life Is Good

Sorry I’ve been absent for a few days now. Life is busy, which means I don’t always get time to blog. I’ll admit that my “computer rationing of time” hasn’t been going very well, and if you could have seen the state of my room/office yesterday – well, let’s just say I would have been ashamed! Thankfully, I’ve had the motivation to do something about it today – so that always make one feel better about life in general (well, it does me anyway).
The New Year is going well for my business. I’ve picked up one new regular client, and have another who I will collect work off for the first time tomorrow. I also had training at the Church on Monday for the job I’ll be doing there this year – so I think potentially it’s all going to go OFF. Yay. 
I had many moments of doubt last year, thinking “Is this REALLY what I’m supposed to be doing. Will I REALLY actually make enough money to survive”. A few sleepless/tossing and turning nights too, truth be told. But in the end I thought I’d better leave it up to God, and if I was meant to be a Virtual Assistant (which was what I was believing I had been lead to), then I figured he could sort out the minor details – clients! And he has. One set of new clients are Christian, I’m not sure about the other, but it’s lovely to be able to discuss spiritual things in the midst of working. It’s so awesome, and humbling in many ways, to just trust that whatever happens is how things are meant to be. Sometimes we get led in completely different directions to where we think we should be heading, and that’s okay too.
I’ve made progress in shifting some of the many books which needed to go to new homes. I emailed around all the local homeschoolers and got rid of heaps – and will put what’s left onto the Aussie Homeschooling Board, so that will be another job I can tick off the list.
It’s only 3 weeks until the kids start school!! Aaarrrgghhh… I’m kind of prepared, kind of not. We get uniforms the week after next, then they have an orientation day, and then the following Monday – they’ll be off.
I know I said that I would post some pics of my birthday pressies, but I just haven’t had a chance to get the camera out. I’ll try tomorrow, so swing by and see if I’ve got my act together.
