The Apprentice Hairdresser!
This photo will strike fear into the hearts of every mother who reads this post…

That’s major heart attack material, right there – especially when your child has blonde-ish hair! Luckily for the 4 year old whose bedroom this scene was found in – I didn’t discover it until AFTER I’d seen the dog’s new haircut!
Friends came for a cuppa yesterday afternoon, and of course they ooohed and aaaahed over Miss Roxy. A bit later the friend says to me “She’s got a bit of a chopped look happening with her hair”. I said “Oh yes, I trimmed a few pieces in front of her eyes when we first got her” not really paying attention to the dog at that stage.
A bit later Miss Roxy hopped up on my knee, and that’s when I SAW the “chopped hair do”.
Hmmmmm ….. “Bella, can you come here please”. Miss Innocent comes all wide-eyed. “How did Roxy’s hair get to look like this?”. “I don’t know” (yeah, right!). “Did you cut it?” “Maybe”! Aaaarrggghhh!! She had cut a big chunk out of the back and snipped two big pieces in the front and side as well. Good job Roxy’s a calm dog or she might have been in danger of losing an eye or ear in the process. Here’s the end result… see that spiky tuft in the middle – well it’s worse at the back!

Miss Bella has promised not to continue with her Hairdressing Apprenticeship on the dog. Watch out Barbie!
Roxy has settled in so well to the family. I had a lady come to the house yesterday who needed help with a new Resume and a covering letter for a job she’s applying for. Turns out she’s a dog groomer, and fussed over Roxy something chronic. It was good though because I could ask about caring for Roxy’s coat and feet.
Daylight saving finished here at the weekend – HOORAY! I hate daylight saving (can you tell?). The kids and I have a new routine of getting up at around 6.30am and all taking the dog for a walk, then home for brekky and getting read for school. It’s a lovely way to start the day.
Well must away. Thanks for stopping by. Want to give Bella marks out of 10 for her hairdressing skills? LOL.
And I’ll leave you with another shot of the gorgeous Miss Roxy and her “do”.

Cool! A reverse mohawk!
Personally I would be so overwhelmingly relieved that it was not Bella’s hair, that I would probably forgive her moment of doggy styling very lightly

You’re right Mrs BB – relief was definitely there before anger on this particular episode. Doggy hair will grow (so will a little girls, but a dog will get less strange looks for a choppy hair-do). I can laugh about it NOW!

oh haha!!!! Was that Barbie comment meant for me???? You know the saying what comes around, goes around…??? Yep, Ali certainly has done her share of chopping things too!
Glad you are fine, and everyone is happy, including the junior hairdresser and her client.
Love you loads, will talk soon

Of course it’s meant for you – who else did I ever cut Barbie/Skipper hair with (although Skipper’s hair is remarkably intact – we won’t mention the bitten foot!).
Love, Fee xx
