Just had to share – my kids have only just discovered the joy of The Sound of Music. We bought a video at the Op Shop last week for $2. They LOVED it … Angus’ comment was “Gee, they don’t make good movies like this anymore do they Mum”? At the ripe old age of 12 – he’s pretty much nailed it.
Julie Andrews … she has the most beautiful voice – always gives me chills.
Am I getting old?! Blogging about The Sound of Music!!
Last day of school tomorrow then 2 weeks of holidays. YIPPEE. It’s been so nice this week with the boys not having homework at night. Can’t wait for sleep ins, and outings, and FUN … although I do still have to work a few days too. Thankfully G is taking time off to have the kids while I work – so they’ll be in for great hols I think.

I didn’t know it was one of your faves too Mum. Expect a few “watchings” when you visit! Fee
How lovely that your children enjoyed an older movie…
I loved watching a few of the older movies with my kids, but don’t remember watching The Sound of Music. Mary Poppins, yes. lol
I love the Sound of Music and next month going to a Sing-A-Long Sound Of Music which a bunch of women. I am sure we will have the best of time and many many laughs. My sons (when they were little) also loved it. It is timeless.
